Solar swimming pool heating makes Makes good economic sense and helps the environment. As far as I’m concerned, anyone who heat a swimming pool would be foolish not to look into solar pool heaters.

Because most people only use their swimming pools in the warmer months solar pool heating systems can be simpler in design than out what heating systems that need to operate year-round and and freezing weather.

The basic design of a social pool heater hasn’t changed much from the simple solar hot water systems of the late 19th century.

All swimming pools already have a circulating water pump and the filter to keep the water moving and cleaning. Heated swimming pools have a heater installed as part of the circuit. With the solar system that heater is the sun rather than gas or electricity.

Since the pumps and filters are required anyway there is little additional cost to using a solar system. In fact the solar panels are often cheaper than a gas or electric pool heater.

If you’ve ever seen the water in a garden hose warmed by the sun you’re familiar with the principle behind solar hot water heaters.

Before commercially made solar hot water heaters became so readily available a lot of people made their own simple heater by coiling black plastic tubing on plywood that was painted black and positioning it where it was exposed to a lot of sun.

Most people opt for ready-made systems because they tend to look neater and don’t cost that much more than just buying the materials to make one yourself.

All pool owner should consider using a solar swimming pool heaters. It not only saves you money, it protects the environment as well. You can enjoy your pool and save the environment at the same time.
